  • It's Off To Ohio We Go

Our next stop on the convention trail is Dayton, Ohio for the Mid-East Annual Convention.  The Miller’s gang will be in attendance, showing off our extensive line of press products, albums, and gallery wraps.  We’ll also be drawing five winners for the Miller’s $100K – that’s $5,000 given out this weekend alone!  Visit the Convention Schedule on the Miller’s site for a discount pass.  We hope to see you there.

  • Fun in the Sun

As tired as we are of winter here in the Midwest, we couldn’t have been more excited to spend some time this past weekend in California at the Western States show.  The sun, and of course, seeing our West Coast customers were just what we needed to cure our winter blues.  With more than 2500 present at the show, our booth was busy with attendees.  We handed out $6,000 to six lucky $100K Charity winners – thanks to all who registered.  Here we are, manning our new booth!

  • Turnaround Time Testimonial

Warren Kahle recently sent us this excellent shot and nice note, bragging on us.  Was kind enough to allow us to post it here too:

While I'm at it, I want to again express my amazement at how efficient Miller's lab was during the past holiday season.  Here's a brief recap of what happened during the week just before Christmas.

On Dec. 17, 2007,  a weather-related  panoramic photograph of mine was published on the front page of the Annapolis newspaper ( The Capital ).  It struck and emotional chord with many  people who saw it and  contacted the paper about getting copies of the image, or simply to send me a congratulatory email.  I was delighted with the response, but a bit worried that I could not satisfy everyone before my wife and I left on a trip to Florida immediately after Christmas.

I believe I uploaded orders to Miller's on the   19th,  20th, and 21st.  Amazingly, I received all of the prints before the end of the week...even  the order I sent on the 21st  was delivered on the 22nd  (FedExed overnight for Saturday delivery).  So much for the December 10 cutoff date for Christmas delivery of  prints produced with film!   My customers were as astonished as I was.

When I returned from Florida I followed up on additional orders,  some 32 prints of that image in total...and I still am getting inquiries.

In short, I'm excited to be knowledgeable enough to  capture and work with digital images, and I'm also glad to have Miller's backing me up with prompt, high quality service.

Please pass this along to Arnie, Dick, and whomever else should see it.  ( Attached is a copy of  the un-retouched image. )

    Warren Kahle

    Thanks very much.

  • Miller's at the Southwest Convention

Arnie, Tonya, Jen, and I are all back in the lab after returning from the Southwest convention in Arlington Texas.  While the weather in Texas was not tropical, it was certainly a welcomed retreat from our average of 20° F this last week.  It was very nice to see all of our existing customers from the region and to visit with potential customers.  Many of you provided some terrific suggestions at the show and that was very much appreciated. Thank you!  We love to get customer feedback.  As a result we have a lot of new products and services which we plan to release early this spring. We think everyone will be quite pleased!  This was the third time out for our new booth and we received a lot of positive comments.  Thanks for coming by!

  • Weather (Again)

Winter weather is hitting the Midwest again, so FedEx and our other carriers have informed us they'll be leaving earlier than normal today in their effort to stay ahead of the ice & snow.

(And how nice of Julie to post about going to Pasadena just before I put this up.)

  • Fun in Indiana

Ted Vlaz spent this past weekend in Indianapolis at the Indiana PPA show.  With over 300 people in attendance, the Miller’s booth was busy!  According to Ted, Miller’s Flush Mount Albums and Press Books received lots of attention, and as always, the Miller’s $100K Charity Program was also a big hit.  Join us in Arlington, Texas for the Southwest Regional Convention-- we'd love to see you!

We’ve given $29,000 in donations so far this tradeshow season through the Miller’s $100K.  Our next stop will be at the Southwest PPA Regional Convention, where we’ll be giving away another $4,000!  Be sure to stop by the booth (#213) to register.

  • Winter Weather

Ice and snow are in our area again, with the Pittsburg area in icy conditions since early this morning.  As a result, FedEx and the other carriers will be leaving earlier than normal tonight, so they can try to stay ahead of the weather themselves.  Although it's not currently bad in Columbia (just cold), the carriers will be doing the same thing there.

  • On our way to Indiana

We have yet another stop on the convention trail this weekend – Indiana!  Come by the Miller’s booth to see Ted Vlaz.  He’ll be registering attendees for the Miller’s $100K Charity Program for a chance to win two $1,000 prizes.  The convention will be Saturday and Sunday (Feb 9 & 10) at the Indianapolis Marriott East.  As always, visit the Professional Photographers of Indiana website for more information.  We are offering free passes for this tradeshow.  Log in and click on Convention Schedule to access the free pass.
  • Miller's in Michigan

Ted Vlaz of Miller's weathered through the snow to attend the Professional Photographers of Michigan Annual Show this past weekend.  The convention was held in Ypsilanti, MI on the campus of Eastern Michigan University.  Well over in attendance from last year, more than 300 made the trip in for the show.  As you can see, Ted is a master at working the Miller's booth, proudly displaying just a few of the many products Miller's has to offer!
