New Feature Added to Miller's Web Hosting

We’ve added another new feature to Miller’s Web Hosting!  You can now offer your clients high-resolution images for enhanced viewing.  If you opt in to this feature, your clients can view one 600-pixel image per page by default, or can choose to view smaller images per page as an alternative.  They can also enlarge an image area with our new mouse-over function, which works as a magnifying glass.  To enable this option, visit the Event Options box on the Studio Profile page within Miller’s Web Hosting.  Check out our Wedding & Portrait Demo to see how it works.

Also, don’t forget about our new email notification feature, which lets visitors know when an event is about to expire.  Seven days before the expiration date, an email will be automatically sent to visitors informing them that the event images will no longer be available for viewing or purchasing.  A link to the event will also be included so that they can easily access the images again.  For more information on Miller’s Web Hosting, click here.

The 7-days-to-expiration email notification is a great feature.  It has added a few more sales to my events.

Several months ago I called Millers regarding auto-generated notifications.  As a former customer of Pictage, who is a little expensive for my tastes, I appreciated some of their email marketing and hoped to pass some of this along to Millers.

Great would be email notification that photos are available for viewing.  To do this, however, requires that the customers be able to register their email address when they visit an event that is not ready for viewing.  Instead, they get a message (I paraphrase):  Sorry, the event is not quite ready yet; check back later.

If you're shooting spec jobs, such as sports events, handing out cards with the web site info and event code info, you'll stand a chance not to get those customers back for a second looksey if the photos are not available on their first visit.

I understand you can do invites.  In many event venues that is not feasible, not feasible to collect email addresses in advance to contact later when the event is read for viewing.

No, it needs to be set up where folks can register their email address with an event that is not ready yet and who, subsequently, will receive an auto-generated email message with a link notifying them that the event is ready for viewing.  Otherwise, we both lose sales.

Love Millers, love your constant striving to improve service and quality.  Hopefully, this will be helpful.

Respectfully,

Dan
